    The EEOC does not maintain an office in North Dakota. The Chicago District EEOC Office and the Minneapolis Area EEOC Office have jurisdiction over North Dakota.
    The Chicago District Office is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Everyone visiting the Chicago District EEOC Office must present a photo ID at the building security desk.
    Individuals wishing to file charges of discrimination may schedule interviews between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Monday through Friday. Walk-ins are accepted but discouraged.
    If you have a disability which prevents you from being interviewed in person, you require an interpreter or live outside the Chicago commuting area, a telephone interview can be arranged.

    The North Dakota Department of Labor – Human Rights Division is the North Dakota state equivalent of the federal EEOC. As a designated Fair Employment Practices Agency (FEPA), the North Dakota Department of Labor – Human Rights Division may coordinate operations with the EEOC under a work-share agreement. Furthermore, the North Dakota Department of Labor – Human Rights Division investigates state claims that are not covered by federal law or exceed the basic protections of federal law. Individuals filing a charge of discrimination with the EEOC should also file a copy of the charge with the North Dakota Department of Labor – Human Rights Division.
