State Fair Employment Practices Agency

The Ohio Civil Rights Commission is the Ohio state equivalent of the federal EEOC. As a designated Fair Employment Practices Agency (FEPA), the NOhio Civil Rights Commission may coordinate operations with the EEOC under a work-share agreement. Furthermore, the Ohio Civil Rights Commission investigates state claims that are not covered by federal law or exceed the basic protections of federal law. Individuals complaining of employment discrimination in Ohio should file a charge of discrimination with the EEOC and with the Ohio Civil Rights Commission.
